  • For good communication with parents around two very sensitive issues (gender identity and equality, Gainkids Italian partner theme): PARENT COMMUNICATION
  • Identity and gender equality, two complex issues but addressable even at an early age (e.g.3 years of age): also because several social researches date as early as the 20th month of life the first constructions conforming to social stereotypes and prejudices about the supposed ”natural” role of women or men in society! on the other hand, the creative itrojection by the child of the models and roles proposed by adults leave room for a pedagogical-educational work that can deconstruct models and roles that are ”natural” have very little and that can release energies and awareness:
  • The focus groups, of which you have the first 2 reports from the introductory plenary meetings, were a starting point for sharing ideas and experiences: you have a brief preparatory introduction here. LINK
  • GENDER AND SEX :(FREE ACCESS FILE) the distinction succinctly explained by one of the leading contemporary sociologists ( Anthony Giddens ). Making this distinction and making students and those around us aware of it is already a first step in then addressing GENDER DISPARITY.
  • GO TO DEDICATED PAGE STUDIES , REPORTS AND ARTICLES ON GENDER EQUALITY AND INEQUALITY (OPEN ACCESS PDF FILES)

  • Freeing up creative resources to work on the issues of equality and gender identity is essential precisely to attempt to transcend stereotypes: in this methodological-didactic proposal you will find numerous examples (23) to create an appropriate setting and prepare children for constructive and productive work:
    THE PLAY-THEATER WORKSHOPS
  • Gender roles in nature : some examples for inspiration to introduce the complex topic of ”nature” and ”culture.” examples taken from the animal world where nature goes beyond the ”male” and ”female” distinction because its goal is not to stymie hierachies but to preserve the species!
